Important notice:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted the School Enterprise Challenge programme timeline to respond to the circumstances many participants are facing. This means a more flexible programme, where teams are encouraged to do what they can, when they can, whilst remaining safe.

This means that you are still in time to submit your next template and be eligible to receive a certificate or compete for a prize this year. If your circumstances allow for this, please submit your next template no later than the Friday the 20th November, 2020.

If your team is not able to work on your Business Idea, Business Plan, or Annual Report right now because your school is currently closed, don’t worry! You can continue participating in 2021 with your same school business and send us your templates then. We will have four deadlines throughout the year, so you can wait until your school reopens and send us your completed templates once you are ready to.

To learn more about our deadlines, click here.

Welcome to My Home!

On this page you’ll find key information about the School Enterprise Challenge, including the structure of the programme and the purpose of the Submission Templates. You can also download your Dreams Poster from here. This is a great way for your team to tell the world how excited you are to take part!

The menu allows you to access all of the educational materials you’ll need to plan, set up and run a successful student-led business at your school. It’s there that you can access the Submission Templates for the 3 steps (Business Idea, Business Plan and Annual Report) and the Business Guides which will help you to complete them.

The progress bar at the top of this page indicates which of the 3 steps you have completed and which ones still remain to be completed.

At the bottom of this page you’ll find updates from our blog, Twitter and Facebook pages. Make sure to keep up to date with the latest news and opportunities!

Structure of the Programme:

The Purpose of the Submission Templates:

Firstly, the Submission Templates all you (students and teachers) to bring the results of your business activities into neat documents where you can clearly articulate what your school business is all about!

Secondly, the Submission Templates allow you (students and teachers) to report back to the School Enterprise Challenge team about all the wonderful activities you have been carrying out and what you learned in the process. There are many benefits to doing this:

  • Every time you upload a Submission Template (Business Idea, Business Plan or Annual Report) you will have the chance to win a prize. Remember, more prizes are available at each step of the programme so make sure to stay involved all the way for the chance to win bigger prizes!
  • When you upload your team’s Business Plan Template it will be reviewed by one of the School Enterprise Challenge judges and they will provide you with feedback to help you make your school business even better!

Top tip: Always carry out the activities in the Business Guides first and then fill out the Submission Templates. The templates should be filled out by students if possible. Of course, they can have the support of their teachers!

Dreams Poster: Show your participation with pride!

The Dreams Poster is the very first activity you’ll carry out, before you even start thinking about coming up with an idea for your school business.

Click here to download the Dreams Poster, print it and carry out the activity with your team of students (full instructions are included on the poster itself).

Then, send us a photo of your business team alongside your completed Dreams Poster and we’ll share it on our Facebook page [you can send the photo by WhatsApp to +44 7722 481 841 or by email info@schoolenterprisechallenge.org].

Not only will this allow you to tell the whole world about your participation in the School Enterprise Challenge, this is also where you’ll stick the badges which you collect on your entrepreneurial journey!
